Konstantinos Patsios

17 - 20 Sep 2015 Booth: C13 View Catalogue

Konstantinos Patsios presents a series of works inspired by the ancient tragedy theme of Medea. A story of love turning into hate, a transcendent situation that expresses the deterioration of everything, including the purest of human feelings, takes a turn into embodying the current situation of his country of origin, Greece.

But the cradle is broken now, infiltrated by references to contemporary decadence, images which we try to avoid but nevertheless form of the new Zeitgeist.

His collages, with their clear cuts and overlapping cultural references, reveal multiple realities, both superficial and deeply existentialistic, intertwined into a confronting body of work.
